How to Deal with Conflict
Conflict is unfortuneate but it will happen. In case you have a conflict on the channel that you are not quite sure how to deal with, or if you are made uncomfortable in the channel in any way, please contact us as soon as possible. We want to maintain a supportive, friendly channel, and we cannot do that if people don't report problems. However, if you want to deal with these conflicts yourself, you may feel free to do so; you do not have to get us involved, unless other people are bothered.

Each conflict is unique, so how we deal with problems is flexible. If you want, we can have only the channel managers or operators you feel comfortable with be involved. Confidentiality will be maintained while conflicts are being discussed with us. We may also have a third party, which both sides of the conflict feel comfortable with, try to work things out. If you have any suggestions about how to deal with problems, feel free to let us know.

With IRC we have the power to talk to anywhere in the world, talk to people who more likely have similarities, socialize in a more comfortable timeframe, and have an easier time communicating, socializing, and making friends than in offline situations. IRC has a lot of potential. Let's not let personal quarrels ruin that potential.
